Installed the Gold TiN version on my A1 mini. CNC aluminum arm is much stiffer than the OEM plastic part, which provides much more consistent spring tension against the filament. Printed an entire roll of PLA-CF without any tooth wear or filament dust inside the extruder housing. High-precision machining and very smooth POM gear meshing.
The stock A1 extruder gear was grinding down and skipping steps whenever I ran abrasive PETG-CF and glow filaments. Upgraded to this Black Nano-DLC tool steel assembly. The integrated tension arm and pre-installed bearings made it a true 5-minute drop-in swap—no need to pry delicate bearings off the stock arm. Feeding grip is rock solid with zero under-extrusion lines on 20-hour prints. Essential mod if you print composites.
